Reader Photos 2018 | Part 1

These are some of the beautiful photos of 2018鈥檚 bloom of the cherry blossoms that were submitted by Cherry Blossom Watch readers. This is part 1--more to come.

A big thank you to those who have submitted your photos of this year's cherry blossoms to share. It has been a very pretty bloom this year, and you've all captured it wonderfully in your photos.

There are a lot of photos sent in, and even after making some selections there are too many for a single post. So I'm breaking it up into a few installments. This is part 1--the others will come later this week. There's still time to submit your own photos if you'd like to share them--the submission form is at the bottom of this page. Submissions are now closed.

Thanks again to all who have sent in their photos!

  • This was taken this year Hank in the tree is for our Everson Hardware Hank Hardware store. He has traveled all over with me. He enjoyed his visit in D.C.

  • Thanks for your wonderful website - which is our only go-to place for cherry blossom.

  • Thanks so much for the updates on the beautiful Cherry Blossoms! I enjoyed walking around the Tidal Basin this past Friday.

  • Great few days of sunrise and sunset at the basin. Loved every step of the walk through the basin last week.

    • One of the advantages of a 360掳 area like the Tidal Basin is that both sunrises and sunsets are special times of day with the sun setting over the water. Glad you're got to enjoy it.

  • We have been trying to catch peak bloom for many years now, but the drive from Ottawa, Canada is too long to leave it to chance. Thank you so much for your informative updates; we hit peak bloom this year, and the weather was gorgeous!

  • Thanks so much for including my photo! I'm absolutely loving the blooms this year. Your information is great - really helps me plan my visits!
