A big thank you to those who have submitted your photos of this year’s cherry blossoms to share. It has been a very pretty bloom this year, and you’ve all captured it wonderfully in your photos.
There are a lot of photos sent in, and even after making some selections there are too many for a single post. So I’m breaking it up into a few installments. This is part 1–the others will come later this week. There’s still time to submit your own photos if you’d like to share them–the submission form is at the bottom of this page. Submissions are now closed.
Thanks again to all who have sent in their photos!

We have been trying to catch peak bloom for many years now, but the drive from Ottawa, Canada is too long to leave it to chance. Thank you so much for your informative updates; we hit peak bloom this year, and the weather was gorgeous!
So glad you go to see it. That’s quite a drive!
Great few days of sunrise and sunset at the basin. Loved every step of the walk through the basin last week.
One of the advantages of a 360° area like the Tidal Basin is that both sunrises and sunsets are special times of day with the sun setting over the water. Glad you’re got to enjoy it.
