A few days of spring and now back to winter. Strong (and cold) winds have knocked down a large branch from one of the trees.

We’ve had a few days of warm weather to remind us what spring is like. There are even some daffodils coming out around the Mall. But we’re now back to cold and windy. From 60s and even 70s in the past few days, a cold front overnight brought us back to earth and we’re now back in the 20s.

The cold front brought strong winds. And they’ve taken its toll on at least one of the trees which has lost a large branch.

From a distance, the trees still look grey. Over the next week or two they should start getting a reddish brown tint from the buds changing color.
