The Kwanzan cherry blossoms near the Tidal Basin and East Potomac Park are now coming into full bloom.

They still have some flowers yet to open, and I’ve seen many in nearby neighborhoods that seem to be a little ahead of these. But with their full, bright pink flowers, they’re looking beautiful.

These shots were taken this morning. Most are from East Potomac Park (near Hains Point), with a few from the ones near the Tidal Basin and FDR Memorial.

You can find more information about the Kwanzans, including a map showing where to find some of the major clusters, here.
