Peak Bloom Forecasts in Detail

The Washington Post‘s Capital Weather Gang has revealed their prediction that DC’s cherry blossoms will reach peak bloom between March 25 and March 27.

That’s a little earlier than the historical average. They’re expecting warmer temperatures in the coming weeks, but not so warm as to push the bloom much earlier.

You can find the more detailed announcement of their prediction here.

And you can find some photos of how the trees were looking a couple of days ago in Sunday’s update.

The National Park Service are expected to announce their prediction tomorrow.
